Military Wide Praise Word?
« on: December 06, 2006, 06:54:12 PM »
The navy has,

Bravo-Zulu

Marines have,
oo-Rah

etc...

Whats a universal praise word/saying.

That can be abbreviated into 5 letters?

Example.

Huzah

Oorah

etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I hear a solid pat on the rear has become more vogue.  Especially in the Navy.

Most common word for a good job that I heard in the Army was "outstanding".
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

It was real prevalent from 96 to 01 when I was in.

The USAF say hooa like the army does.

Hooa is a service wide answer for anything.

Another one I hear quite often is "kudos"

I was in US Army from 1983 - 1987 and our word was "Hardcore!"

If a group was expressing praise it was usually "HOO-RAH!"

"Out-effing-standing"

"Did you have a big bowl of stupid for breakfast this morning numbnuts? I don't want to hear another word out of that commie cry-hole in that rockpile you call a head. And that goes triple for the rest of you pansy-assed morons. Now get the hell out of here before I shove my boot so far up your bellybutton that you choke to death on my shoelaces."
