why do you think govs and potus have limits?

I don't see how term limits will effect party loyalty in the least.

What "good old boy network?" You mean the money? Term limits won't change this.

Kennedy's constituency is given the option to limit his term every six years. One can only assume that the people of Massachusetts are happy with their representation.

Governor term limits are set by the states for any myriad of reasons. The 22nd Amendment was adopted because the Congress was fearful that a long standing presidency might upset the balance of legislative, judicial, and executive power.

They were fearful that another long-standing presidency might upset Congress. If balance of power was the heart of the issue, they'd have extended the amendment to include themselves.

so Sandman you are not for term limits?
you would actually vote against them?

it has nothing to do with "being happy with their rep" and all to do with the fact they have gathered so much power/connections, short of a stroke -you are not going up unseat a kennedy type ..
bet a Foley homo email would not bring down a rooted kennedy type ..

Yes and yes.

I'd rather see changes in campaign finance.

The Congress is already weakened by their number. A Senator is just 1 of a 100. A rep is just 1 of 435. The president is 1 of 1.

Term limits would not be a good idea.  High ranking Senators and Congressmen on committees have a level of expertise that you would lose by limiting them to a certain number of terms.

Time to clean house..said it before and will keep saying it.

Free America  Nothing will happen if there is no Action.

You whiners are sheep.. willing to sit there and "Baaaa Baaaa Baaa" all Year long.  You've place ******s in positions that they are incapable of holding. They "propose" change, "promise" change and continue to feed the sheep. Three bags full.  Both Partys do the same.

You have let America slide to the lowest depths..Education of our youth drops..Parents fault.  You let others think for you "ACLU" your fault.  If "IT" isn't Politically Correct you fear what you say....Lemmings!

Well so you think it's not "Your" problem.  BullChit.  You just refused to get involved. You have become a "Just Me" Generation...  You "Allow" the Fall of America to happen because you have became a sheep, a Lemming or an Osterich.  If it doesn't involve you personally it doesn't matter.

You allow "Outsourcing" you allow "Illeagle Immigration" you allow "Urban Crime and Gangs" You have became a "Mute" on your own behalf.

I don't pity you, I loathe you.  You have became the Enemy Within.

Sleep well pitiful ones.

Oh and BTW it's Merry Christmas, it's a Christmas Tree, there is a baby Jesus in a Manger in a Nativity Scene and English is OUR National language.

Hope you write this down.

Time to Get Real!

Unless Americans and our allies wake up and actually listen to the threats of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his ilk, term limits will be the least of our worries.

This lunatic seems to have every intention, and sooner than later, the means to start WW3 with a holocaust that will make 9/11 look like a walk in the park.

God help me, I hope I'm wrong but listen to the sabre rattling coming from Tehran...it damned frightening.

Laughing at any of them for abusing or neglecting their responsibilities is like yelling 'I told you so' to somebody getting raped, all the while knowing that you're likely to be in line for it too, sooner or later. Comes across as a bit lame, whether it's coming from one side or the other.

Read this again and tell me why you vote for either party.   This is the written word of HYPOCRISY.   Keep electing em in there for all of you to whine at.

I appreciate the testosterone-saturated conclusion-jumping, but I haven't voted for either party in years.

If you need to bark, do it at somebody that stands behind them, either of them.
