Title sais it all, wouldn't it be cool to fight in the snow?  Or, imagine...

Imagine if you were heading into a fight, and a big dark cloud rolls over, and then suddenly CLASH!  Thunder, lightning, and rain, were surrounding you, and it's nearly impossible to see.  That would be nice.

OR maybe high winds, interfering with your plane.

Maybe hurricanes...  Tornados

Maybe it's winter time... there could be frost on your wingtips, and snow no runways... etc. etc.

I'm just asking, because
something like this would be really neat!  :aok

I second it. Have like cold fronts and everything. If it gets hot your engine will overheat faster in Emergency Power. It'd make white bomber skins like default if it was snowing.

Yea, that'd be cool... snow would be pretty fun, and when you try to land... well, it won't be easy.

As a futher push to realizism I think the weather is a important addition.
We already see the clouds that are in arenas. But I do agree, that different weather changes would only add and be a big plus.

"Get my body ripped apart by forces" I love that line!!

I think that the Sim is probably at a crossroad on the performance scale and hardware that you simply have to get. for example if you use Flight Sim X you need top of line hardware to run it properly.
I think that evenutally for this sim to development the Hardware here will be more & more demanding.
I know you want to open a market for users that dont have the hardware so they can have account. But the question I have is where is the line between that. I would think that this sim could be made were to need a top of line video card to run and a smoking mobo!

I still think that this is a top of line sim and has the vast potential probably to be the best on the market!!

Good hunting and watch those tornadoes!!!

I remember clouds in AH1 beeing a very important player in the action. They were very nice, giving that uncertainty factor to a bomber mission or playing an important role providing cover for fighters and an extra challenge.

Maybe the code could be optimized to "eat" less FR...Also it would be nice that the several kinds of clouds could be represented in a given arena simultaneously, at different altitudes, to provide different ceilings - and fog, ocasionally - circling around the arena in a slow, lazy circle...

I'm not going as far as modelling ice, hail or rain...although it would be nice! Hail storms would be easy to reproduce: just a matter of using the .303's modelling in a vertical drop...
