f4u films

Would love to see any films of AH F4u variants in action --- trying to learn the bird, but havent had much luck bringing out its particular advantages.

Have been a little frustrated with rear visability (seems harder to visually clear the 6, and to track rear quarter bogies than in many planes). I practically need to do regular rolls looking behind. Also trouble with that nasty snap stall when pulling out, usually right around the tree tops...

Anyway, any films -- reversals, scissors, or cool corsair tricks -- would be appreciated.

Alot of good hog drivers around. I'd spend some time with WW or TC in the TA for sure. Personally I think the hog is one of the most versital planes in the game. Kept fast ans flown in an "E fighting" mode its very effective but it also offers the flexibility to go "angles" and compete with almost any plane in the game. There are "tricks" with any plane but the real key to the hog is learning to fight it in the vertical in that 175-75 MPH range. Once you can gain a comfort level there then the birds strengths really come out. These two clips are from the same sortie and illustrate the "survivability" factor the hog has....

The 38 clip is a faster defense...obviously the counters are dependant on the offensive moves and a more aggresive 38 driver could have foreced the issue. I actually felt the 38 driver flew a smart fight (I'd have gone more vertical) in the sense he didnt get locked into an angles fight like the spitty....

I fly the hog every day so I have "new" stuff all the time....but I think clips like this show more then a bunch of 5-6 kill hops that dont require the bird to be pushed to the edges of its flight envelope. I'm sure there are better hog drivers out there then me but I'd be happy to work with you any time....
