There are some strange things on our little planet. I was looking at islands in the Pacific and it freaks me out to see some small patch of sand/rock sticking up out of the middle of the ocean, barely big enough to call an island or atoll with houses on it! Nothing elso for hundreds of miles in any direction. Some small islands are packed with houses and roads.....with no industry in sight. What do these people do? Just think of the simple items we take for granted like gas, a TV or a roll of tape...how hard and expensive would it be to get it?
The only thing I can think of, these are insanely rich people's vacation spots where they can be away from the rest of the world and do nothing but sit nude on their own beach and twist up a fat one:cool:
More power to 'em.
Anyway, I ran across this puzzling thing: A small uninhabited rock of an island out in the middle of nowhere with markers on it. These markers are about 175 feet in size and were obviously placed there with great effort and expense to indicate something. Does anyone know what they are?
They can be found at: E131° 11'31", N24° 27"56" (About 250 miles SE of Okinawa) Once there, look on the East/Southeast side of the island for the markers.
I suppose they could have washed up, but look deliberatly placed. The surrounding terrain also shows signs of past markings.
Wierd.
