Favorite kills involed me dying to Shane.  No matter what I would do that guy would always pull off the most incredible maneuver and come out on top.

Killing a Pony with my .45 as he flew past my wreckage. :D
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

My favorite kill was winging with Birdo in Spit 5's.   We saw two cons, he broke first, I followed.   Bodhi lit Birdo up, and extended to keep speed up.   I broke into the 2nd con, he pulled into a banking turn to get on my 6.   I timed a perfect snapshot "System: You have shot down Leviathn #1".   Immediately after Levi, I pull into Bodhi, who must have lost me for a split second and shot him down.   Two very good sticks down within 10 seconds.   Stang tried running me down, but I landed em.

I saw Shane about 2 months before the splitting of the arenas.   I shot him down in FT on Donut.   I actually got a Salute from him.   We chatted a bit on 200.   He was "HARR" - with the "Slobberdonkeys Beware" as a squadron name.

Haven't seen him since.

Most memorable is still the one where the Spit XVI driver bounced me while I was after a set of 24s.  I saw him in time to break, but he had the alt and the E.  Fight went from 10K to the deck.  Ended up in a turn fight 20 feet off the water.  He thought he could hang with the G low and slow.  Saw him drop a wing first and recover right on the waves.  Tried to extend but he couldn't pull away.  Ended up in a scissoring fight.  Nothing like being upside down in a 38G at 30 feet.  Finally got him on a snapshot as he crossed my nose.  He wasn't a newb, so it felt kinda good to come out on top.  Checked the film and it was a full 5 minutes of twisting and turning trying to get the edge.  Hands were shaking by the time it was over :)

Had a similar one going tonite.  Ended up in a 1 on 4 on the deck.  Got the first guy to overshoot and killed him.  I was way slow.  Second guy overshot and ran.  Two more coming in.  Got them both to overshoot and they were turning back in.  I was lining up on the N1K 200 out hoping to get him and then drop the fire onto the 190D9 that was turning just behind him after I'd forced them both out in front.

Some bum in a 51 comes in at light speed and picks me.  He shall remain nameless....Treize....:)

One of my favorites was a year ago.  I was in a hurri and ended up going beak to beak with Mord in a Spit.  My nose was off, his was on and he rammed me giving me fuel and oil leaks but he went down.  Got the "Mord has collided with you" message.  Mord comes back on 200 and says there's no way I could have survived that, I rammed him...blah, blah, blah.  Trying to make my way back to base I had a few more engagements that delayed me and sure enough, here comes Mord, ignoring everyone else and headed straight for me.  I'm out of ammo, fuel and oil so I turn, hit the deck and head for base but he's closing so end up doing a break turn and engageing.  After a few turns he rams me again, this time from almost 90 degrees out so you can't really claim it was a mutual ho.  Get the message again "Mord has collided with you" and Mord goes down again.  Loved the ch 200 "chat"...blah...blah...blah.  Laughed my way all the way back to the base.  Hurri's a tough puppy, Mord...well haven't seen him in a long time, maybe he switched CPIDs.

It never fails to amaze me how totally serious people take a game.

I loved the immersion of fake reality with a squad but can never imagine re-upping out of anger just to get at someone who just downed me.

Well, since Guppy posted two...

I REALLY enjoyed a fight I had the other night in LW Blue on NDIsles (I THINK). I upped in my 1A and started climbout, intending to help bust cap on the next base over.

However on my way out I saw that a friendly CV in the area was being harassed, and had a growing Dar Bar in the neighboring sector, so I turned to help.

I first conned a 51 somewhat above me, high enough I couldn't get to him without blowing all my E, so I nose-low to grab some speed. He passes me up, makes a run on the CV and escapes the gauntlet of AAA (no or negligible damage to the flattop). I roll in to pursue, but he had far too much E to start with for me to catch in a straight chase, so I pull up to start regaining some altitude when I see a HUGE number of cons IB on the carrier.

Not wanting to get ganged I enter a high Immelmann to reverse back towards the CV and friendlies upping in the area. Another ally (can't remember who it was, now) dives in and starts mixing up with the 51. As I'm on my way back to the carrier an La-7 is pursuing me. After a quick break under and to his left and into a loop I end up behind him and take him down after a short chase.

Now the wall of red appears. Some 8-10 close formations of Ju-88s are down on the deck rolling in on the carrier, but before I can turn on them the friendly engaged with the Pony goes down, and the 51 then fixes his attention on me. Another similar reversal as executed against the La-7 and that's it for the Pony.

The CVs guns start lighting up as the other friendlies try to turn her clear and deal with the 88s. I roll in and start shooting at whatever I can put my sights on. One...Two...Three 88s go down and the formations start to scatter. Torpedoes are running in the water. Zoom in, pull up hard, roll and drop down again, high side, front-quarter, slashing across their rear. Four...Five...

There are just too many of them to fight and steer the carrier with what few defenders we have. The CV goes down.

As the last 88s make their runs on the remaining escorts I continue my defense. Flame Six. Let the bastage burn. Pull up, roll over and drop. Splash Seven.

Guns all but empty and the last friendly in the air I return home, and yet those 9 kills just weren't enough.

Then again, it ended up taking the Nits every last one of those 30-odd Ju-88s to kill one sparsely defended carrier...
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I guess I would say the funniest not favorite one...

I had just dropped troops from my C-47 and was turning away from the town when someone said there was a 262 inbound to the town... I continued my turn and sure enough here come the 262 right at the troops who were now behind me...

I turned slightly to my left and did all I could do BANG....... Collided with the 262 to protect the troops which were still falling....

Immediately: you shot down #######......

I laughed as I landed the C-47 on the runway of the newly captured base......

Didnt even bother tuning into 200, let my imagination fill in the blanks......
