Bored today at work so i am brain storming on some new ideas. Someone brought up the idead of a advance arean in a different thread and i think that its a good topic for discion.
My idea is for a Gold arena.
Let the vets have the opportunity to have a special arena that makes for a good setting for vets to do some not so typical fighting. We all fight out numbered and hardly ever get to have the chance to fight others that have the same skill level in a good environment without needing to do mass coordination for a DA match. Wing of terror and Unforgiven had squad matches in the da and it was some of the best fun i have had in the game. The problem with this is that the da is open to anyone so we had problems with newb and people that were not invited. Also in the da it takes time to take off fly a sector climb and is almost always at 10k and under. Some of use would rather spend our time dogfighting more than one flight just to Auger after one kill. Wait and rinse and repeat..
My idea is to have a special place pay a extra $10 a month to be able to battle with some of the best in the game in situations that normally dont acquire in main our the da.
We have a mission platform already and what i would suggest is to use this mission editor so that people could set up different matches and have instant action!
Imagine a place that you could log in and look at the missions. Their is a mission for a 1v1 agents sky at 4k f4u-1, hell yes so you enter that mission. Bang you in the air at the same time dot vis and ready to fight.
Our you could have a mission squad v squad at 25k calling for 20 pilots mixed bag p47 ponies and 109. You pick your ride sit around for a couple minutes and bang your at 25 k dot vis with another group and ready to fight.
And my favorite idea post a mission you vs 2 other guys have then start at 5k and you at 8k, bang! dot vis and let the battle rage.
The possibilities are endless and this would be a good way for HT to bringing more money and let the vets imagination role. No time spent on climbing, no time making sure the other group has it correct players, no need to worry about newbs in 163's.
No rank our score and you could put a time limit on each fight to discourage running. Its not main but you could have a great time do battle with your friends and not spend 30 minutes looking at the dar bar to find the fight your looking for. Just go into the GOLD arena post a mission sit around and heckle someone to join and Bang our at 20k with 4 wingies in a D3a dot vis with 5 other D3a chop the throt and nose down and let the pinging begin.
Just a idea but it interest me and HT has the ability to get more money from my retirement fund.
