You can't assume that "this thread" == miuch less the BBS itself == is in any way a representative sample of AH as a whole.

almost all decent folk will be able to tolerate flying a high ENY plane when thier team is over populated

not many of any folk like being told they cannot play with the team they have played alongside for 4+ years unless they wait 10 minutes between flights in game that they pay for.

its like buying polo mints. you're paying for 65% mint and 35% thin air.

Bat, this is either misinformed or deliberately deceptive. Even when the new side balancing was active, the only wait was to ENTER the arena. After that, you could fly and die as often as you liked....there was NO wait between flights.

Personally, I found that when my side was high, the most I had to wait TO GET IN was 2-4 minutes. I was then able to fly with my squad without problems. We found it a bit nicer than the old way, because once in you didnt have to worry about really high ENY restrictions, that start hitting common planes.

Emotions are running high enough as it is. There is just no call for inflammatory untruths -- no offense intended.

i was refering to a system that was tested that you might not have seen sim, with all due respect.  Hitech was nin the arenas testing it and it let you in and on to your country but would not let you roll a plane untill enough of your country men crashed.

"you may wait in the tower or change country now" was the message that many people get.

now i dont mind switching countries every now and then when the unballance is effecting people, but there are a huge ammount of people that are good upstanding members of this community that would rather log off than switch sides.

when HT tested that system it was very bad for arena morale and the 4 of us that wanted to fly together was wasting time waiting for ages to all get airbourne.

now i would understand that system if we were upping 4 on 1. we were not the base was under attack and we were outnumbered 2 to 1.

just because a group of 20 nits was hording a field far away, we were not able to get 4 machines into the air to defend a full on attack.

that sure, is a flawed system.

I have always suggested and ENY and balancing system/plane in the air limit to be done on a sector by sector breakdown.

when certain sectors are unblanced the high numbered team cannot up at the near airfield, but can still freely up 40 miles back from the front line.

I'd have to say Before
but I still have alot of fun,,,and squad #'s havent declined

One side effect of the changes Ive noticed...
many more organized Bomber Runs with Escort seem to be roaming around,  which is great !!
Probably, because that may the best way to take a field these days,
a handfull of NOE Bf110s and a Goon  just doesnt work as well anymore with all the ack

Its also not easy to disable troops on the enemy front lines,
so peeps have to fight more

Some Hanger Dweller Planes of the past have become great tools now,
Like the 190F8 with the 12 rockets is a fantastic Deacker

But I really miss the big maps,
and weather my side is winning or losing seems much less important,
which takes away the competition and rivalry a bit

I still will find fun though no matter what the set up is,,,,,,,,cause if Im playing, that means im not at work or doing "Honey-do's"

Wow!

Consider - as a relative noob someone asks you to join their squad.  They explain the general make-up and focus of the squad.  You meet a few members and fly with them some (if you are smart), then join up.  You learn all the rules or preferences about the squad over time, taking the good with the bad cause your really too new to know which is which yet.
By the time you discover a less than enjoyable rule (not necessarily a deal killer), you've come to like and enjoy the company of the people in the squad.  T

That would go a long way towards making the game a better experience.

B@tfinkV: There has never been a system implemented or tested as you described it.
