screen freezing

lately i have been having problems with my screen freezing randomly, sometimes for as much as a minute.  I have p3 450mhz machine, with the s3 savage 32meg vid card.  I swapped vid cards out, doesnt fix my problem, also bought an extra fan just for the vid card.  Right now running AH in 16 bit
800X600 with on average a 40fps rate.  This problem started happening about 3 weeks ago, but now occurs frequently.  Am going to swap my drivers out, but anyother suggestions?

If you are in h2h, I doubt that this is your problem. I see frequent freeze ups for 30 seconds or more whenever someone enters my h2h arena. I think this is more noticable to the host machine.
This appears to be a problem with the AH server.

Actually, i do believe i found the problem....


Direct X support is required for proper operation of AH.  Specifically version 7.
