yes.  liqueurs.

you might try this one.  even better i think...

dark milk chocolate martini

2oz godiva dark
2oz dark creme de cocoa.
2 oz vodka (vanilla vodka or van gogh chocolate vodka...the latter is best but hard to find at times)
dash baileys irish cream.

shake of over ice.

strain and pour over chilled chocolate or caramel drizzled glass.

i personally like this one better.

its also less expensive as dark creme de cocoa costs less than white godiva.

its a bit richer though.

Finding chocolade liqueur where I live is a tough one.
How about vodka, choco liqeur of one sort (I'll find one) and bayleys?

it could work, but it wont be super duper sexy.

not too much baileys...

you can use other liqueurs than godiva...but it needs to be a chocolate liqueur to work correctly.

creme de cocoa should be added.

but it really depends on what you want.

the second chocolate martini recipe is the better one imho.  i should suggested that one first over the other.

if you take a look around and let me know what you find, i can probably save you some cost if it just isnt gonna work.  i like to bartend from time to time.  used to do it ALOT.

Note the consensus involving some sort of chocolate booze.

Brandy Alexander is a good bet.  Google for the recipe version that appeals to you the most.

alright angus, i have done a bit of research and here is what i am going to suggest.

if you MUST alter the recipe then just replace the chocolate godiva with dark creme de cocoa... try 3 oz to 3 oz vodka...splash baileys.

(note: i am serious about the splash...try it that way if it needs more baileys to suit your tatses so be it.

none of this is set in stone and just the notion of chocolate martinis has been known to drop panties.

good luck sir.

Angus, if you can't find a chocolate liqueur like Godiva, use Creme de Cacao.

Red and green are festive colores.

Shot of tequila with a green lime wedge and some red colored salt.

Toss salt over shoulder, drink the shot and toss the lime in the garbage disposal to freshen it. Repeat as necessary.
