Is it a new fish-eye view system coming in 1.02 ?

I just compared two screen shots from current version:
   

and from 1.02:
   

On the first pic (current version) we see Spit at 67 yards and it looks rather small due to the 90-degree view system.

On the second pic we see Typhoon at 102 yards and it looks huge compared to previous shot.

So is it a new fish-eye view system coming with new version or I missed something?

Maybe the 2nd shot was zoomed?

EasyMo, I think you missed something.  You do know that their is a zoom view ability in Aces High, right?  You can do it online, from within the cockpit.  It probably is one of the culprits for why so many people can perform long range gunnery (1000 yards instead of 300).

Yup, the second screenshot is zoomed in.  It looks better/realistic when you have the point of view zoomed in so the monitor isn't a 90 degree picture, but rather a 35 degree one.

popeye guessed right.  I was zoomed in and in external view.  IMO you can get cooler screenshots in zoom mode.  Well, gotta get back to testing...
