You a Flyer or a Yapper?
« on: December 20, 2006, 08:10:26 PM »
(gazing around the o'club, late at night but still not far removed from the Star Wars bar scene of all sorts of different types getting their jollies)

(flicks the antenna of mildly soused patron next to him)

Hey, Gorkhead, you a flyer or a yapper?  You actually FLY Aces High anymore or you just sit aroun' here bs'in?

Put it this way -- real simple:  How many hours you spend flyin' 'n' fightin' on Aces High compared to how many hours you spend yapping here in the o'club?

Hmmmmmmm?  Too tough for ya?  Run out of fingers 'n' toes?

Me?  Okay, I'll go first.  Mebbe ... prolly ...

uh ...             1 to 30?   :huh   :rofl

(rethinking)

wow ... 1 hour flying for every 30 hours yapping here.  What does this mean?   :noid

I used to fly a lot, but stopped after the arena changes. I logged back in a few weeks ago and saw the color coded arenas and immediately logged off.

I stopped playing a year ago; partly because my PC is 6 years old, partly because I did flight sims for 10 years.

P.S.

Yappers should fill this thread because the flyers are too busy flying.

Yapper, not by choice though.  I don't have enough money for a subscription.  Though if I win the lottery tonight, it'll be like the 10th thing I'd buy.

At only $14.95 a month unlimited play, Aces High is still one of the world's great bargains.

Just flew a couple sorties to stay (cough) proficient.  Frame rates and scenery keep getting better and better.  Amazing product when it began and still is.

Can't play anymore. The 2 second lag in satelite transmission makes it a non starter.

Bummer, Maverick -- you mean purely via satellite dish or is there cable or phone line involvement too?

Pure satelite. No phone lines as I don't live in a house, strictly RV.

Yapper.  I don't fly anymore due to my fear of flying.

I average around 80 hours a month in the MA. I always swing thru here on the way in/out of the arena.

Yapper.  I've logged into AH maybe twice in the last 3 months.  Yet I still pay for a subscription every month and get all the downloads as they come out (and then fly for a couple of hours to check out all the new stuff).  Pretty much just waiting for CT to come out.
