the grand hoax (lie)
« on: December 20, 2006, 10:15:20 PM »
the more i think about this, the angrier i get. both at myself for being a fool and believing something someone said online, and at the "hoax" itself. i don't find it funny really, because it's on a subject that i am personally passionate about; the II Amendment in the Bill of Rights.

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

at a time in our history when more and more of our rights as citizens are being abused, ignored, or taken away, i don't find it all that amusing for someone to post a "hoax" about shooting it out with a couple of burglars. i feel doubly the fool for supporting that person with a "my thoughts are with you" reply, in the blind.

there was a time in this country where a mans word meant something, where a handshake was as good as a written contract, and stealing got you hung. now, the worst that society has to offer can break into your home and while stealing your lifes' earnings, fall, sue, and then own the very house he was robbing. it's bull****. this country is going to hell in a handbasket fast.

i didn't and still don't find any humor whatsoever in this "joke".

my 2 cents.

I hear you. but it wasn't a "hoax" it is a lie told by a pathological liar for whatever reason, why be bothered?  I'm sure it's not anyone's first experience with this type of behavior here or in the normal course of life, that's just the way it is.  I feel bad for the young man actually.  everyone in his town will soon know.  he may have started on the intardnet but now it strikes him back at home.  he'll be treated with even more disdane and contempt than before.  I'm sure he's already known as liar to those even remotely close to him he's just broadened his circle now.  maybe he'll move to another town but he'll mess up again, he's stupid.  poor little fellow.

Im still concerned for him.
Maybe he has issues and needs help.
On the other hand this is a bb of a cartoon game.
I see no reason to take it personally.

Seems to me he did more damage to the 1st amendment than he did to the second. In either case, getting upset about it is a violation of the 28th amendment...

my girfriend and a few relatives are "hispanic" so they kinda do have a right to get angry at the guy.

In anther BB I think that dinger figured out why the guy did it...  several people lately have been arrested for gay and kiddie porn and soliciting for sodomy.   When arrested their computers are confiscated.

I believe that the "iceman" (still can't write that without laughing) is one of those people who was arrested and he made up the whole story in order to cover for his lost computer.

I think this should just be left alone folks.

If any body did pony up and pay for his subscription because of this, it may turn into a case of fraud.  Methinks Iceman has a world of hurt coming his way.

Let it die off here.

Motives? WTF?

This is the same guy that did the "got a buddy killed in Iraq" lie. What would make someone start an account, announce he's going into the Army Guard, wait 6 months and then come back with a story about how he was shot 3 times and given a medal that he turned down? He had the iceman account started up (with 1 post) a couple of weeks before he'd started that lie and then he's outed, switches accounts and he's now iceman with a whole new lie brewing?

Since he's an idiot and it doesn't really matter, I'll go amatuer psych on his ass: He tells the lies in an attempt to get addoration from this community because he thinks he is too inadequate to get it any other way.

Someone should contact Iceman's local paper and give them a story... about a local kid trying to slander the local police force and detectives.
