.speed setting keeps getting lost.

How come every time i set .speed xxx
and crash, even though i reup in the same plane the .speed always gets reset to defualt, is it supposed to be that way?, cause its kinda annoying.

On the other hand it can be quite nice.
At least twice I have been returning to base in my Ju88 setting a speed to 300mph (shallow dive).
I would then rearm and take off, as my airspeed built up to 150mph I set it on autospeed like always with the result in the plane starting to pitch violent downward. First time I was killed. Second time I just barely managed to snap out autopilot and recover.

Its suppose to be that way.

It defaults each sortie to the optimum climb speed at sea level, for that aircraft.

Otherwise people, would set it too something, and then forget to turn it back killing them, or forgetting what the optimum climb speed for each aircraft should be set too.
