How come we are unable to pickup other people in our GVs? this would make for a good thing in the game as if another pilot was shot down and bailed out you could pick him up and he would not lose his kills and maybe as a reward you get a Couple Perks or something, Would just be very usefull, Even a Modification of the Game code to allow the C47 to be able to Pick Up downed pilots on the ground would be nice.

just my 2 cents

Nobody's going to stick around for 4 hours while you drive about the country side looking for them, when they can tower out, get a capture/death/bail, reup, die/reup 5 more times, then log off for the night before you'd ever reach them.

Basically that's why. This is a flight game, not a "sit and wait" one. It simulates the flight, not the actual experience that real men and women experienced.

Krusty the reason i ask is because ya know not Everyone is willing to just Ditch when if this worked they could keep there kills, maybe add an option where if you bailed you could push a button on the ClipBrd and maybe it would post a Small Person Icon and send an announcment over your Countrys channel saying " XxxX Needs Pickup/Evac", Because there are SOME people actually willing to fly a Goony bird or Drive a GV to pickup Friendlys, Would add another hint of Realism to the game. :noid

The second they bail their sortie is over. Whether their pilot is captured or rescued means very little -- their sortie is over. The enemy cut it short. The enemy is rewarded for this by getting a kill message. Whatever you do as you're coasting down in your chute means jack -- you were shot down and the stats have already been recorded.

So in RL pilots that had four victories and flew a mission and scored a fifth kill which made them an Ace got shot down and they made it back to their base, are actually not Aces? Cuz the report they got from their buddy is that he got shot down over enemy terriotry, he is most likely dead, or captured and his fifth kill woudn't matter much because the stats have already been recorded? I don't think thats right. He got his kill, and that made him an ace and he got back to base and got his kill. So your saying in AH once your shot down, you can't make it back to base and tower on the runway and get say 7 kills?

I think thats not fair. An AH pilot that shot down 7 fighters in one shorty is shot down by an enemy aircraft, which means that his fighting for 15 to 30min was all for nothing, and he lost all those kills due to say a blown off wing, thats just not right. He got his kills before he bailed, so that means his stats recorded 7 victories then a bail. I think people should be able to pick up downed pilots, so those who want to land their kills can, and those who want to save a virtual life can. The enemy pilot well get his victory. So did those in RL, even if they say a white chute floating the air. He shot down an aircraft and got his victory. This little feature would not effect this game.

I do not know why people think they will lose any kills when being shot down...
No kills will be lost. Regardless if landed, crashed, discoŽd, captured or just shot down. The only things affected by how you did end that sortie are perks and points for scoring. Nothing else.

Hmmm well I am just a Free H2H player, and we don't get perks, so to us the kills matter. Not so good on how MA works, so I change my post from kills, to Perks.

You still get the kills on your stats if that matters to you, what you don't get is your name in lights saying that you landed X number of kills... which in this scenario didn't happen since our poor fictional pilot got shot down.

In which case you're down whether SAR gets you or not. The result has been decided. You lost the fight in some way/shape/form. Waiting around 2 hours for a "SAR" player won't change that, and really just wastes your time and the time of the SAR player.

if this was close to real life with the 5 kills you are an ace

i would be golden and have a big smile on my face

instead of bruising my fist from punching the moniter when i get a cheap shot on me
if i was an ace it wouldnt matter

lol
