I brought this up before, but I'd like to see some updates to the film viewer:

1. Missing sounds: Why is it that the film viewer can record your gear and flaps and other incidental sounds, but not your engine drone (start/stop, I believe IS recorded) and guns? This is only the case for your OWN aircraft, not those of other players. Another minor detail: Why is it you can see your flaps/landing gear positions change, but not the other control surfaces?

2. More intuitive: The editing controls aren't the clearest.

3. Editing controls that WORK: Honestly, some of the functions (such as the capture option) are completely hit-or-miss when they DO work.

4. More flexibility: Currently the entire view system is based on the one in game, which is fine for a starting point. However it makes simple but dramatic effects more difficult to set up (IE, camera positioned on Plane A but tracking Plane B. Ideally, it'd be nice to be able to click what plane you want to place the camera on in the list, then click the plane you want to track. I can't find any info on how to set something like this up in the help file). I haven't found a suitable option for different fly-by effects.

5. More reliable save to AVI: Even if I HAVE managed to set up some rudimentary camera passes, view changes, etc., all this data is lost when saving to AVI and the film defaults back to the internal straight-ahead view.

Ok, yeah, yeah, I know I'll get a bunch of posts along the lines of "Use Fraps!" However I don't see how Fraps can do varying view angles and camera positions, (internal, external, chase, fixed, and so on) without recording FROM the AH film viewer. Fraps looks like it just records what it sees.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Don't forget to ask for smooth padlock when the player had been using TrackIR!  Yes, it could use a complete overhaul.

What about TrackerIR and smooth padlock???  If you use TrackerIR, you lose the mead movement in any film created in AH, right?
