VILKAS...Labus draugas!

(Hello my friend)

I grew up next to folks from Vilnius.

Stanis was their name. (Stanas/Stanis), decendants of the Lithuanian family of provincial princes.

Their father was a lieutenant in the Lithuanian Army at the time of the Soviet invasion.  At the sight of thousands of T-34's on the horizon he withdrew to the German lines.  He was put to work digging ditches for 3 years.

After the war he immigrated to New York and then to Chicago, and had a wonderful family.  A Lithuanian wife and a great career in Chicago.

Many of your comrades have done the same with no regrets.

They named their Wolf-Shephard dog VILKAS...a great honor.

A fighting name with a fighting spirit.

Labus Draugas!

Your Comrade.

Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

Heya Vilkas,

Remember the first time we flew Ki-67s and you gunned for me?  After strating the place, we got real bored and decided to bomb the ships at port to see what would happen.   I will never forget how hard we laughed at the sight of them rolling belly up like metal water bugs:rofl   It has always been a pleasure to find you online to share a good laugh with, especially when I am taking myself to seriously-----> :furious

Truly, Vilkas you have taken us in with your charm.  Big to Mrs. Vilkas, you won the prize with this guy.  Thank you for sharing him with us we really appreciate it.:aok
