Last game bro, was a good one.  Was a thrill to watch your career.

You have the ring, you have the numbers, next stop the Pro Football HoF.

Absolutely.  The game of football has few men as classy as Brett Favre.  The guy is the definition of the word tough.  A great career and a great man.  I count myself lucky to have seen him play.

I'm afraid his kind is a dying breed.  A great leader and a great man.

As a holder of season tickets at Lambeau,(my family, not me personally)
I hold out hope that he will come back next year.  the Pack has a ton of money under the cap and could make a run at some key players.

My prediction:  Favre returns for one more year.  He will announce that he is coming back by the end of January.

Watched his interview with Andrea Kremar....he had tears in his eyes.

As John Madden said....no tears he is staying.......tears...this was his last game.

I've been a Browns fan for well over 50 years. However if Favre was on I would always try to find the GB Game so I could watch him play.  He made watching Football fun.

I'd like to go one step further.  Brett not only made it fun, he made it exciting again.  Even on a bad day he was still exciting to watch.  Unfortunately, for every Favre we have about 40 Terrel Owens to have to suffer with.

I think Brett's retired, he was very, very emotional at the end of the game.

I count myself as one of the lucky ones that saw him play in person. It was either his 1st or 2nd year in the league and they were playing against the Cowboys in Dallas. GB lost, but I watched Brett throw a Hail Mary from the GB 20 and it made it to the back corner of the end zone.:O Unbelieveable!

Trust me, you don't want him to play another year or heaven forbid become Head Coach. Remember Bart Starr? It's time to hang up the cleats and put on the TV blazer. If they can make Troy Aikman smooth enough for color comentary, they can do it for Brett.

Sadly you're right.  It seems that more and more players in the league try to make it about the individual accomplishment and not the team.  TO is the prime example.  However, guys like LaDainian Tomlinson give me hope.  Everything I've seen out of him off the field reeks of respect for his teammates and the game of football.

He also grew up in Waco, TX which is where I'm from.  I guess we're biased ;)

I wouldn't say you're biased.. I'd say you are correct.  LT is a classy individual, graciously shares credit w/ his teammates, eschews the limelite, speaks politely, and seems to have fun just playing football.

You heard it from me first, Favre will play another year.

The last time I saw him was last year.  I attnded the Monday night game against MN.  There's nothing like a game at Lambeau... man it gives me chills(snicker, sorry couldn't resist)

I think Fav  Farvra  Fav-ray whatever is done.  I think he'll "retire", buy a few new suits, and head to the commentator booth.  Why do I think that?  Because one of the female sideline reporters got to him while his guard was down and he sort of laid out what he's thinking about.

Basically it seemed to come down to the fact that although he's still on his game, it's the off-season that's getting to him.  As he gets older, he has to work harder and harder during the off-season to keep up, and he's missing his kids growing up because of it.  I know a few fighter pilots and WSOs who made the same kind of decision, and they sounded pretty much the same when talking about it.

He really sounded like a guy who's tired of the grind.  Yea he's still a great player but it sounded like he doesn't think he wants to spend another year of his life prepping for 16 more games at the expense of his family.  The work/life/fun/pain balance might not be right anymore.  At least, that's what it sounded like when he was talking to the reporter.  And right after he said it, he realized that he'd spilled the beans earlier than he planned and he quit talking.  But before he clammed up, he sure sounded like a guy who was ready to move on.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

I also got to see him in person, in the Ford Field Regular Season Opener and the Packers beat the Lions 37-31.   Brett torched us for around 357 yards and 3 TD's, if my memory is good.

He was amazing to watch.
