check your power supply
I had to upgrade mine when I went to the 7800 GS as I did not have enough amps on my 12volt rail

is it freezing while a sound is going on ??  IE: when you fire your guns ?
are you using a custom sound pack ?

are all the skins dled ???

Have you tryed turning the performance slider down (to the right) just a little and see if it goes away ?

Usually if its a powersupply your pc will freeze and reboot (crash) .

a overheat may cause this too .

Dual core AMD CPU.  You need to install a patch from AMD named the dual-core optimizer.

It should solve those problems.

Radeon X1600 Pro and screen freezes??
« Reply #6 on: January 04, 2007, 12:45:07 AM »
Power supply is brand new, 650 watts only needs 350 for the video card.
As for over heating issues, i highly doubt that, the temputure on the video card is only 69 degrees.

Looking into this AMD patch, i do have all updated drivers, but ill double check

As for what is happening when i freeze up.
It seems to be always when a squady or a range person begins to talk on thier mic. atleast this is what i think, because i see a name in the corner usually when it happends. and if you were wondering, the "beep" is turned off on radio transmissions

Another small thing i noticed:

Turn down your sound hardware accelleration to STANDARD, not full. This can also be cause of small stutters/freezes.
