68KO Memorial Flight
« on: January 03, 2007, 11:43:08 AM »
to all. Your thoughts and condolences have been more appreciated than any of us are able to express at the moment. For those who inquired, Bill passed due to cardiac arrest on New Years Day.
As to the business at hand.
The Memorial Flight for 68KO will take place 01/06/07 @ 1800 EST U.S. time.
We have chosen to make this flight in the Special Events arena so as not to disturb others on a typically busy day in the MA.
Because of the number of pilots from across the various oceans, we chose this time as a compromise to best accomodate as many pilots as possible.
The aircraft for this flight will be the P51D, as this was by far Bill's favorite ride.

At this point we haven't determined fuel loads, skins etc. I'll let you know when we have all of that squared away.

Thank you again on behalf of all of us. WeVERY much appreciate your support and texts etc. They most certainly are not going unnoticed by us.

As much as I want to participate in this flight, I regret due to a work schedual that has me flying to Guam at that time, I will not be able to attend.

Please know that 68KO has my deepest respect as an honorable player of this game and as a person. He will be missed.

To the rest of the 68th Lightning Lancers, I am sorry for your loss. I would like to request that my name be placed on the flight roster in spirit if not in person.

Also I would like to request that at least one person film this flight from God mode and post it so we may all see what KO will see as a fitting tribute to a good man. I know in spirit he will be logged on and in colors leading the way.

68KO

Thank you.

My prayers go out to KO's family and friends, as a member of this great community of people, he will be missed.  Things like this are a grim reminder that it's not about rank, or abilities, it's about the friendships you gain, and comradarie that is enjoyed throughout our time here.

To  all those who were closest to him, just remember, we mourn for ourselves, not for those passed.  My families thoughts and prayers will be with you!
