Possible AH sound problem
« on: March 22, 2001, 06:24:00 AM »
I've been getting a few reports from people using my sound pack; they're hearing things. Hit sounds where gun sounds should be, in one case a hit sound where the bomb drop sound should be. The total number of sound files, including those in my pack, comes to 372. In theory the number of sounds shouldn't be a problem, but as I said people are getting sounds mixed up. Apparently either AH or something else is to blame.

My system specs (flame away!):
P-200 MMX
64 megs SDRAM
SB-16 PnP
Dx 6.0a
Creative 3DFX Banshee card w/16 megs SDRAM onboard

I know, this system should be in a museum of some sort. But it runs AH fine and I don't have ANY sound conflicts. I'm posting this for those guys having sound problems. No matter what I can't find anything that would cause this sort of mix up. How does a program choke on the number of sound files?
