Jim,

Hi, Its Sue. Its another sleepness night for me its just about 3am. I cant stop thinking of bill, I started to think about his other life he had here with all you guys, So I came to this link you sent so I can read. I still cant stop crying. I cant even see to type. What Ive been reading on your threads about my beautiful husband 68 KO, is just absolutely amazing.  My heart bleeds, its so broke. Not only he left me and his 2 children and his family, but he also left his other family at aces high.

All those nicethings everyone had to say about him just leaves me speechless. I want you Jim and the 68th as well as everyone that knew Bill on AH to know that he loved all you guys too. He loved flying with you all, he loved his friendships he had with you all. He just enjoyed every minute he was on.

So I want to thankyou for respecting him and honoring him . It means so very much.  Id love to log on in his name for your memorial mission if time allows me at that time, maybe just to let you see his name for one last time, or just  I don’t know, something…. I don’t know…. Im just so lost but Im trying to honor my husband in anyway I can.

I have a fly over planned at his burial. His passion was to fly. So I am having the plane he flew in reallife to come salute before he is laid to rest. His funeral is going to be beautiful. As you see even in the paper, the 68th is mentioned. His picture is in the paper but its not on the online one. If youd like you can post up the one I sent you that shows his pic? I want everyone to know that face of bill bundesmann (68KO) .  Oh Jim,,,, Thankyou for being his friend, as you truly were one to him.  So on behalf of our son and daughter as well as myself, thankyou, for making my husband happy.  To all of you that spoke such nice words….we thankyou.

His obituary is running in the paper also on Saturday..we skipped tomorrow due to my sons birthday that his dad will miss, and my son is devastated.

But on Saturdays, theres a little added into it.

Oooh I cant type no more, I cant see.  I love and miss him so much.

You may pass this on to anyone youd like…or post it………. Thankyou everyone for all your kindness…..and for enjoying flying with my husband!

Thank you for sharing Sue.  There are hundreds who play this game .... but there are few who stand out.  Your husband was one who stood out and left a lasting impression.

He and I did not always agree on this message board, but in game we cleared each other without a second thought.  I am sorry he is gone and I cannot begin to imagine your pain.

Your message to Jim clearly shares your pain, but it also shows an inner strength that you possess.  God bless......

(With the permission of the 68th I'd like to fly KO's Avatar to honor him.  Falcon PM me if you would like it taken down.)

What skernsk said is true.

I have forgotten more game id's than I can remeber however KO and the 68th have made an impression on me that few others have. I can remeber flying more than one mission that was a blast because of Him.

Sue, know that your loved one has reached people from the other side of the world and left them proud to have flow with him.

My thoughts are with you, your children and KO's loved ones.

I didn't know 68KO...I feel that is my loss. But for everyone here let me just post this:

High Flight
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

Sue, Anthony, and Amanda -

I only knew your husband and father for a few short months.  But I can tell you this:   I have met very few natural born-leaders and truly inspirational people in my life.  Bill was absolutely one of those people. Even though it was in the context of a computer sim, and all of our interactions were over the Internet, a person that radiates good qualities can't be stopped from shining by a little thing like physical distance.

Bill was the entire reason I joined the 68th, the standout leader, the ever-encouraging mentor that kept me there and made me fly better, and a brother in our common obsession with aviation.

I am very sorry for your loss, and understand it is more profound than I can even imagine.  I just want you to know that there are those of us out there that deeply respected and appreciated Bill, even if for such a short time.

I will never forget him.
