Kermit's well-organized HQ raid

Great fun! Most of the bish were too scared to attack us. Flying alongside us but not attacking for 10mins at a time. We scared some 262s so bad they barely tried to engage :)

Just one screenshot to get the juices flowing. There were many more outside of the angle in this shot.

Was a lot of fun.  My vox cut out right before the drop. :cry
Thank you to all who joined and thank you betty for posting mission.
We had a few jugs and 262s that would not get near us except to pass through the formation and then extend, climb and repeat. :)

Once again, we fought off all defenders, but the 163s just tore us all apart over HQ.
We all hit hq but it did not go down. :(
Was a fun mission.  Lots of people knew what they were doing so that helped out a lot.
Time's fun when you're having flies.

FBTex nailed 2 163s with his guns, and despite a serious lack of fuel he (and I) coasted 150 miles on fumes and he landed 2 kills at the very end.

As for me? Well I bloodied the nose of a hoing 262 (I think I smoked both engines of his) but never got a kill. He got my lead. Then a 190D also hoed me and I smacked him good (oil damage and probably a PW) but I never got a kill on him either. Both only when we were RTB. I don't think I got hit once on the way TO the target.

LOL she was complaining that Kermit took her to the TA and forced her to learn how to fly in formation. 2 hours he wouldn't let her get up even to use the bathroom.

Apparently she DOES fly B17s now, at Kermit's insistence!

Betty… I totally understand.   When I started playing Moil forced me into flying in formation for long periods of time.  He said that I would not get the full experience that our fathers did in WW II by just a quick 15 minute flight from one airfield to another.  I sat there for hours in formation until we ran out of fuel.  (Mind you we always launched with full tanks)  It was messy at first but I learned quickly.
Here is a picture of my set up now.  I can play Aces high for hours without getting up.  Shortly after I took this photo, I installed a microwave and mini fridge within arms reach.

Go ahead and try it, it takes Aces High to a whole new level!
