Pilots can't walk from the tower to the plane anymore? Or am I just overlooking that setting?

There is (was ?) a move time setting somewhere in the GUI....

EDIT: if you had the "Move Time" slider to the left the you would see the move ment from base to base and tower to plane, if it was all the way to the right then it was instant...

Yea, that move time setting disappeared quite awhile ago. Was pretty useful vs spawn campers because your control keystrokes would still take while in transit, and you could "hit the ground running" so to speak when you could start engines, shift gears and even jump positions before hitting the spawn point.

Went to look for it for that very reason one day and found it was no longer there.

Sounds like it was exploiting the game, doing that

Besides, 90% of all GV action is spawn camping, whether you're being camped or doing the camping. Really the best way to fix it is up a jabo and bomb the ever-luvvin' crap outta them.
