Water & WINE EDUCATION

It has been scientifically proven that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the
year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of E. coli bacteria found in feces. In other
words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop!

However, we do not run that risk when drinking wine (or rum, whiskey, Scotch, vodka, beer or other liquors) because alcohol has to go through a distillation process of boiling, filtering, and
fermenting.

It is better to drink wine and talk bull ...
than to drink water and be full of bull.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information. I am doing it as a public service.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

One liter of water weights exactly one kilo. That is the definition of a kilo, the weight of 1 liter of water.

So according to your calculation each liter of water contains 1/365 part E coli. I don't know if you realize how much this is but that is like 3 parts per thousand or 300 parts per million. If  my local water supply had 300 ppm of e-coli in it the entire town I live in would have been dead years ago.

A few years back a water well in a place called Walkerton Ontario had some E-Coli in it and it got into the municiple supply. People were dropping like flies.

Town water might a few PPM of various dissolved minerals but that is it. Any E-Coli is too much.

Drink water and don't worry about it.

This explains a-lot, Bush / congress must drink at least 100 liters of water a day to be that full of crap.. I knew there was a scientific explanation.

Well having just had two glasses of very good red wine I can concur with that. Apart from anything else, something in red wine is supposed to help you live longer.

Actually, Maverick makes a good point. In centuries past it was simply not safe to drink the water particularly in cities.  Beer was the better alternative and cheaper than wine. Which probably means that most people in the middle ages went around half cut most of the time. Probably explains their propensity for wars and burning witches.:O

Neubob,

I leave that to you. I'll leave you some flavoring in your water though. I'm sure you're used to it. :p

It's true! Stop drinking water, or something made with water like wine (try growing grapes without water) and you'll stop pooping.

Wine and beer are not distilled, just fermented.

"How much did you drink, you say?"
"Two liters of vodka each"
"Look, I can't drink 2 liters of water!"
"I can't either..."

Was drinking with officers on Friday. Still on the borderline between astral and reality.

Drinking with officers is a very dangerous sport. This time I was drinking with military scientists, at my Father's 80th birthday party, in the institute were he served 20 years ago (he retired in 1987, after 43 calendar years of service). At least I didn't behave badly, and remember everything. Drinking with PVO (Aircraft Defence) officers is dangerous even for my health. And please remember that I am no longer 20 years old, can't participate in liter-ball games in professional league any more.
