Hey all, I read the forums a lot and see several entries with someone referencing the fact that they were fighting 'xxxxx' the other night... Other than knowing what someone's flying, how do you ID an enemy plane?  i.e. his/her handle before being shot down or shooting them down and getting the system message.

i don't think you can ID them other than shooting them down or being shot down or asking who it was over 200.

Only other way to know live is by deducing it.  Plane type, previous encounters, and flying style can often narrow it down for those with a lot of experience.  There are some players in this game that I can ID just from their merge or evasive tactic.

Of course after the fact, if you recorded film, you can ID enemies from the film telemetry.

Not sure if it works in MA but in H2H if you change icon mode by pressing "alt i" it will show you either plane type or gameid.

Look for a Bf-109G6 with a Droptank on and geting PWN3D, thats me. Or a B-17G at 26,000 feet, and 2,100 RPM, that too is me. As would be the Ar-234 formation level-bombing hangars. And the Me-262 SOMEHOW being caught be a Spixteen. Basically anyone getting slaughtered, its a fair bet thats me.

And those trees SUCK! Since when does a tree stand up to a Tiger?

yes they are discopants.

But when you get shot (or shoot someone down) you get the message with the name.
