Looked like a clean kill to me...

Dedalos flat turned to the right against torque off the merge, both combined will lose you a step to the other guy every time. Net result, you had a near planform deflection shot.

I don't know what he saw on his front end, but from your view it was faultless.

Dedalos has a problem with deflection shots HO's after merges (though after the initial merge it wouldnt quite be considered a HO now would it?). I did near the same thing though more of a frontal shot on him after an initial merge 2 days ago in the DA and he started yelling at me on Vox.

Any player can't always expect to have a fair fight, or have it land in their favor, that's just unrealistic.

often ive fought dedalos in the spit5s with only the 303s, not because it means we think by doing that we are somehow better pilots, because it means the fight will hopefully go round a few gun solutions before someone dies. we got bored of the fights like this where first to get guns on wins. we also would try and make 3 or 4 no guns close-to-ho passes untill someone won a big advantage bot just a close one. thats purely personal preference and not a DA rule.

Dedalos made a mistake in that flat turn merge, he needed to lose more speed for that and also consider the profile he showed you on the way up.

from my view that was almost 90* angle from above the canopy and tail, perfectly legit shot and a very nice one.

we should go easy on ded, im sure he felt a bit foolish when he realised he had got pissed off at losing, but hell, we all get pissed off when we dont do our best at something we love being good at.

i'd also just like to point out.

i know ded is a good guy.. we dueled many times.. he's been getting the best of me as of late but this wasnt the 1st time i pulled this manuever on him and have him say something leaving me clueless as to what the fuss is about..

I need to put together a compilation of the films I have like this, with 90-degree off-angle canopy shots and then the player starts screaming at me on private or channel 200 and accusing me of a cheap HO. I have too many to count.
