No, it wasn't.  I don't remember who it was, but the P-38 in the film posted in this thread was painted up as "California Cutie."  The F.A.A. report suggested that one of the pilot's tools (he worked on the ship as well as flew it) became lodged in the control column and jammed it.

I don't think that was Jeff Ethel in control of that P-38.  IIRC, that crash in the video was a few years after Ethel had already died.

to all the pilots who met their ends flying with the birds.

Your completely lost at the point of my original post.  Your response is more of an attack on me than a reaction to what I originally posted.  Just because you are an EMT and have seen plane crashes gives you no right to say that the way he posted the film would not be disrespectful to the many on these boards who follow those who fly old warbirds!   I simply stated that more thought (and need I say, more respect) in the title he posted would have been appreciative!

Skycaptn... it sure sounds to me like you are the one being a tard and trying to get a reaction.

To be fair i had no intentions of hurting anyone's feelings. If you fly airplanes there is the constant risk of " DEATH " involved what goes up must come down.

Batfink & helrazer summed it pretty good i think to you both

It's film footage, film footage is there to be viewed. People died in nearly every one of those crashes, I know a couple of the airshow crashes killed people on the ground. The B-52 crew, the Lufthansa jet, most of the helo crashes....people lost their lives in all of them.

Maybe when you post stuff like that you could just warn people, "images of fatal crashes" or something. Myself, if the cameraman took the time to follow the action, I'll take the time to watch it.

It's funny how certain people are now so " Sensative " to what others post.

There's some irony.  If you hadn't gotten so defensive after Skyrock's first post, and had just said something as simple as, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone by this," everything would already be over, and you wouldn't have people sticking up for Skyrock of all people over you. (No offense, Skyrock :D )

The way you chose to reply to his first post kinda makes you look like an...  Well, you know.

Maybe if Skyrock didn't respond like i should have known that was his people he wouldn't have gotten the response i have given.

Like Helrazr said, if you didn't figure out what the movie was about after the first 30 seconds then your pretty much a Dee Dee Dee!
