Like Helrazr said, if you didn't figure out what the movie was about after the first 30 seconds then your pretty much a Dee Dee Dee!

I fully expected to see a P38 auger at an airshow when I clicked on a youtube link.

Anyone who thinks anyone else should care if YOU are "offended" by obviously important video (as all plane crashes are) should go cram it, up, left.

Just because someone dies does not make it off-limits.

It was Proudfoot's crash at Duxford.... Sad day in the warbird community.

""All you P-38 fans should close your eyes at the very end.""

that right there is all the warning I would have needed.  I assumed something awfull was going to happen to a p-38 and/or it's pilot.  as soon as the video started rolling I knew for certain what I assumed would turn out to be true.

I have and always will have the option to close a window that I willingly open.  I don't feel offended after having watched that, I don't feel like a bad person for having watched the whole thing.. twice.

Yes it is a true shame that most of those people died, but they were doing what they loved.

Did any of you people crying foul think that after seeing the first line of the post and the first thirty seconds of the film that there was going to be puppies, flowers and rainbows?  what kind of tellatubby world do you live in?  Also, how many of you pointing the finger turned the video off as soon as you realized there were fatal crashes in it? How many of you watched the whole thing before you realized "hey.. this.. this isn't right..."?

Accidents happen, accidents will be filmed and those films will be watched.

I do however think it was in bad taste to set that video to some happy upbeat music like that lol

Good compilation- sure shows how ejection seats save lives.

Didn't like the music.  German techno, with guys dyin' ---meh- but that's just bad on the remixer.  I have a volume knob.    I used it.

Hated to see Proudfoot go again, especially in a hard auger like that.

At least it was quick, and he died doing what he loved- we should all be that lucky.

Just a little hint as to how it could have been titled!:aok

Maybe you should be done! I mean, what kind of reaction did you expect from your title and choice of film to post?  You obviously do not know the community that well, as most of the people "defending" you from mean ole Skyrock are newbs and morons!  I have a right to state my opinion about this and I know that there are people in this community that follow servicable lightnings and the men who fly them.  Some have even met the pilots in RL, but alas, "None of us are perfect!", so when you see my reply, just "close your eyes!"
Mark:rolleyes:

wow, now look who's being considerate of other people's feelings.  Take your own advice and rephrase that in a more PC way, since that's what you're all about :aok

SKPG, I have always been very respectful of the loss of life when it is accidental or avoidable.  On the other hand, I am usually pretty brash when it comes to debating weenies!  Please refrain from manipulating my words to cast your spin!  Besides, don't you have some cherries to pick or dives to the deck and running to do in your pony? LMAO!  :aok
