Hello,

Our squad lead has signed up the VFA33 Red Aces today via the sign up form. Is it to late to join tonight's action?

We'll have 2-5 guys able for tonight if we can get in.

I saw that you registered your squad, unfrotunatley its a little too late to plug you into tonights FSO. I'll be in contact with you this evening about FSO. Along with your squad there will be three new squads starting in the next FSO on Feb 3rd.

Feel free to ask for invites here, and you may be able to fly with an existing squad tonight.

If you show up at about 2250 Eastern, you should have no problem finding a squad that can take you in. 2-5 pilots should all be able to fly together. Tune to 200 and ask if anyone needs pilots.

That would be considered a 'Walk On' and that is against the rules.

I've had to turn away many pilots over the years for not having a squad waiting for them that it isn't fair to start bypassing that now.

( Yes, others have sneaked by during this time, too.. Still doesn't make it right )

Please review the writeup about 'Why no walk-ons' on our events site.

Normally a lot of folks check the boards to see if there's any late news, so if you post a desire to fly with a squad tonight, you may get a few takers.

Sorry to be the party-pooper, but I know that there will be mayhem from some of the players if we suddenly encourage walk-ons.

That is NOT a good suggestion. You must coordinate with a squad before the event....not during or minutes before. FSO is not a Walkon Event. My suggestion would be to ask around the Main Arenas and find a squad willing to take you in, or you could keep an eye on this thread and I'm sure someone will offer you a spot or two. I would be more than willing to have y'all but I had to have guys from my own squad sit out last week cause we had 11 show up and only 8 slots available.

Roger that, I have 3 confirmed that want in for tongiht so I'll post a request here and see if we get picked up otherwise we'll wait till next time.

Budtzu (Husky) you are not showing with a CO or XO, please fill the posistions ASAP. They are both required to fly in FSO.

Nefarious,

Ranger33 is our CO, I can be XO if needed. Im not sure how to fill us in, I'll be happy to if you point me the right direction.

Its to late, the orders have been doled out.

I can see what Ghostdancer says and possibly have your squad active in Frame 2. But its up to him.

In the meanwhile. Add a CO and XO to your squad. Edit your squad you have posted, Add your User ID number and your squad XO's ID Number. If he doesnt have one he needs to register for the events site to get one. Once he has a number, you can add him as your XO.
