Option To Turn Off Text "Radio"?

Wonder if they have ever considered an option to provide a toggle to turn on/off the text "radio" all together.

....Or at least make the squelch list larger.  I run out of room quite frequently squelching 'motor' mouths.

I should have added my reasoning:  I find the "real" radio delivers a more immersive experience.  I also find folks are a bit more hesitant to behave badly on voice comms.

It would be good if you could keep system messages - perhaps HTC could add a tickbox next to the green channel so that you can filter it out.

For the sake of completeness it would be nice if you could toggle the radio ticker on and off in its entirety. Or save its contents to a text file, although that's another topic entirely.

What about perminant squelch?  Sick of having to squelch certain people 3 or 4 times a night coz they keep re-logging. It would be great to just squelch and never have to do it again with that same person.

doesn't    .squelch channel #  work?

or open the text buffer, and tune all channels in the drop down menu to an empty vox channel

They won't let you turn the text off. It was 1 of the things I wanted when I was still playing. The same with a permanent squelch list. HTC wants people to interact. I really never wanted to talk to anyone just blow stuff up and found the constant scrolling of the text buffer annoying. Hopefully when I get new controls and start playing again I'll be able to squelch all voice and text.
