OK. I hit alt R and record. Then I get out of the game and turn the film viewer on. I click on film to get a recording to watch and there is no film clip to watch. What in the world am I doing wrong?

Press Alt + R key to start the recorder in Aces High.
A red "R" will appear in one of the upper corners of the screen.
Press Alt + R key to stop the recorder.
After exiting Aces High, go to the AH Film Viewer and open your recording.
Recordings can be found in the default location.
C drive > Program Files > HTC > Aces High II > Films > then the file.
Time's fun when you're having flies.

When the film viewer is already open, you can NOT double click a film to start it anymore.

In the viewer, go to FILE > OPEN. By default it opens the Films folder in your game install... just select the film you want to watch and hit the OPEN button.

Yes, once you associated the viewer with ahf format, you can double click a film to *launch the viewer*. But once it is already *open*, to playback another film, you have to go through the file>open menu.

At least thats how it is on my end.

Mouse settings?

I have the viewer open, then try to double click film in Explorer - it just shows the hourglass for a second, loading, but nothing happens. Right click and "open with" doesnt work either.

OK, im afraid youll have to lay that one out for a none-computer geek blonde :).

:)

I know that. I think tho that was what sicdog attemted, hence my very first post. From your post, I can assume that you were talking about being able to open films with a double click in the first place (which I can do as well, as long as AHF files are associated to the viewer in Win). We were simply talking at cross purposes here.

Just goes to show the old saying is still true:

No better way to separate two sentient beings than a common language.
