No, not from any game.  Tochy only does CGI work for his short films he makes IIRC.

Can you imagine the Lag Fest (TM) it would generate if we have this kind of graphics 10 years from now.  I'll give it another +20 to make it MMPOG (Massive Multi-Player Online Game)

Lag is not at all the same as bad frame rate.  The problem caused by model detail frame rate; that can be fixed with hardware.  The lag problem can't really be fixed, as we know, since modems can only go so fast.  Fortunately, model detail should not affect lag, unless models or skins are being transferred (which should not be happening).  So, I still estimate three or maybe four years until we get a game that looks like this.

Those two vids are CGI, So they are not being rendered on the fly, Yet I dont think its really that far away...

10 Years ago I got my first IBM compatable PC..

1st PC
CPU 486DX66
RAM 8MB @ 66mhz
HDD 800MB Western Digital
Trident 1 MB

Desktop PC today
CPU Semphron 2500+ ~1800Mhz
RAM 512MB @ 400MHZ
HDD 3 Drives Total Space 400 000MB
Video GF5200 256MB @ ~400 Mhz

Difference between the two (Based upon Mhz and MB)
YES THIS IS AN OVERLY SIMPLIFIED APPROACH TO THE CALCULATION
CPU Mhz 27 Times Faster
RAM 64 Times the size @ 6 Times the speed
HDD 500 Times the Size
Video 256 times the size @ approx 6 Times the speed

Now when you consider things like using water to store data:
Quote "A cubic centimetre of ferroelectric memory could hold as much as 12.8m GB of data, they reckon"
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/05/10/ferroelectric_storage/

You have to wonder were we will be at in 10 Years time...

Perhaps oneday I will be able to: Turn on, Plug in and Drop out... hehe alwas wanted to be a Shadow Running Cyberpunk... lol
