Next monday will do another tank battle. Throw out your criticisms about the last one and ideas for upcoming ones. Keep it civil. If you arent intrested in it, no need to post or incite anyone.

Keep in mind what limitations we have at this point as far as vehicles available,and maps we have to use. We can not change spawn points and such. We will start at a ceratin time and end when ever people want. Right now we wont be shutting the arena off to aircraft. That doesnt help our shaky numbers to not let others enjoy the AvA.

Lets hear it.

The whole basis behind this idea was to have an area where tanks only could fight.The AvA is a perfect place to start seeing as how no one is hardly ever in there.I speak for the majority of GV'ers that attended in saying that we don't want any planes at all.We just want a Tank Battle.There are 6 other nights that the AvA sits empty and those wishing to be in a plane could be on those other 6 days.

Now i could see a problem with turning off the planes if there was a usual gathering in there for plane fights but there isn't.

& most of the folks who came in for HMM , i saw back in the AvA on another nite fighting in planes, so the idea is working.

I say we have no planes from 8 PM till 8 AM the next day.

Thats what folks who can't fight worth a crap in a tank usually say.

Planes will not be allowed in the small space we will be using. We used RV8s as spotters but I didnt get much positive feedback on that.

yea the Rv8's kinda ruined it, not in the spotter sense but more in the Historical sense.

T-34's vs Panzers for the first "frame" Then its open to suggestion. Last time it was just a FFA after the first battle.

do you think anyone will play russian team?  the russians will need the IL-2 aside from the fact that it was an integral part of their anti armor strategy.

if this will be played to AvA standards then the rus get neither the panzers or the flaks.

you should allow dive bombers for both teams.  the IL-2 vs the stuka will offset each other very nicely.

Its a tank fight. Its not Axis vs Allies. Yes people will fight in T-34s. Its not meant to reenact anything. Its so people can fight in GVs without treetop dweebs in bombers racking up easy mode kills. Its for fun.



If people have a good time they may come to like the AvA and visit more often for the air battles. An example is some of the LTARs showing up quite a few times after the first time we did this.

well i use to come in alot but stopped for sometime cause i was putting in to much AH time and not enough work time. glad i got that fixed the hell with work
