Anyone else getting annoyed watching the TV commercial of Joe Kennedy pitching free home heating oil from CITGO and our "good friends" in Venezualia?

I don't consider Hugo my friend though. The feeling is probably mutual and I'm fine with that.

joe kennedy jr. - Public Relations Front Man for South America's worst dictator in his scheme to embarrass America. I can imagine how much he is getting under the table from Chavez for selling out his country.

I don't use oil to heat, but if Citco wants to start selling gasoline for .40 less than the competition I will start buying there.

I grew up around 156th and dodge wich isn't far from 129th and Q. Knowing the area I bet that Gas Station will do pretty well granted their prices arent too bad.

Citgo is actually a very good marketing operation. Big oil has progressively abandoned smaller petroleum marketers that don't make the corporate numbers. Citgo, is very marketer orientated and in fact doesn't own any company ops. The people selling you the gas on the street are all small to medium sized business people living the American, capitalist dream. Good people; I've met a lot of them. I also met the president of citgo and moderated a panel discussion with him as a participant -- learned a few hours before the session that english is not his strong suit, ah well

Unfortunately, Chavez and Citgo's parent company Pedevesa carry a lot of baggage.
