I've updates to the Dx8 to give some help with the beta testing. Every time i hear a plane explode or see one explode i get screen shuttering and static from my speakers. Im using the default sound but have some custom sounds for planes. Anyone have any ideas about what the trouble is ?

(raises hand, jumps up and down)
I'll wager a few guesses:
1. Direct X 8a caused it
or
2. You've had too much beer
You might try updating your sound card drivers and if that doesn't work, maybe turning down sound accleration by 1 notch or 2.

If I'm reading right .. upgrade your DX8.0 to DX8.0a
Your sound card volume "Wave out" should be about two notches from the top.
Or disregard "bloom25" advice #2 and drink more beer ..after awhile you wont give darn.

No, I didn't mean to change the volume. I ment to turn down the directsound accleration by a notch or 2.
If you don't have 8a, then yes, it's better than 8.
