Now, how did you isolate the aircraft? Did you just take a long time cutting it out? Or is there a quicker trick?

did you use the skin viewer? and if so what version you using? the version I have seems to be outdated and loads my plane cache when I start AH after trying to use it.

Biggles,  how are you getting your images croped out? are you using the skin viewer to do them?

and what version skin viewer do you have?  I think I may have missed an update to it,  I 've been unable to find any recent news on  the skin viewer.......

i use the film viewer, you get GREAT quality and functionality with it.

just record in the game, then open the film, pause it when you want, adjust your views and settings, enter full screen view, make sure you move your mouse cursor out of the way, then printscreen and copy into an image editor ;)

it's great fun doing these actually, we should run a mini competition :)

Yes, but how do you then isolate the aircraft? slowly outlining and cutting? Or is there a trick?

you use some method of extraction in your editing software. in photoshop there are many ways to do it, the pencil tool, magic wand selection, etc.

alternatively you could use a reasonably sized eraser brush and go around, it doesn't take as long as you would think. have your background setup, then paste your screenie on top as another layer. erase through the screenie to show the background, but leave the plane of course ;)

it helps to have decent editing software. i managed to borrow an oldish version of photoshop from a friend, but there are a few free programs out there on the internet that do a good job :)
