probably somewhere between 95 and 97%

Almost everyone has a headset, and it's almost a necessity.

In case you are talking about airplane speeds, look here for some performance numbers including acceleration.

If you're an accomplished flyer who's been flying MMORG's for a while who understands air to air combat and the aircraft that AH has, and really only needs to learn the AH game system, then (I'm told) the average is a few months.

If you are a novice flyer or are just starting to learn to fly, then expect the learning curver to be in the better half to be something like "two weeks".

"Two weeks" is a historical term - it means you'll wonder forever when it's going to happen, but everyone will keep telling you that it's just around the corner.

we're not talking about your sexual prefrances here Mustaine ! He wants to know how long till he gets to kill instead of being killed  :D

While your waiting for your "gear" to arrive, you should spend your time reading the info at the Aces High Training site. It may be slow going, but the more info you can get into your head and understand the quicker you'll be up and having fun. The first few weeks can be VERY frustrating, but it is well worth it once you get going.

Good luck and Welcome to Aces High!

The learning curve is steep, but its strictly a matter of how fast you can learn & put certain things to work. The more & the faster your capable of learning the quicker you'll reach that "comfort" level.

Aces High training site is awesome, as is http://www.netaces.org

Spend some time in the TA each week, and if you get stuck, or don't understand something, hook up with a trainer.
