Hi, I have big problems of freezing.

I don't understand to thing they could be due.

I have changed the components of the PC almost all, without resolve the problem.

After about 1 minute, sometimes also less, of I use AH, my monitor becomes a fine picture. @#à=?^§£&@# (censored)

The PC doesn't accept, no type of order, I am forced to reset.

Apart from the fact that this involves an impressive series of discos, and doesn't make certainly happy, those people that even stayed a fight with me. Sorry guys

My initial configuration was the following:

PIII 600, RAM 128 Mb, TNT2 Ultra, ISDN Modem, Joy MS FFB For, Mouse PS2, Keyboard.

In the attempt of make up for to the problem I have tried to change and I have verified the correct operation, of the: Processor, RAM, Card Video, Modem, Mouse, Keyboard, Joy, HD.

I have verified DirectX files, the Test say "no problem".

I have also tried to uninstall and re-install AH .

But the problem stays.

I have not this problem, using EAW or CFS.

Before do I proceed to the re-format of the HD or in alternative take to hammered the PC, anybody has had this problem already and has been able to resolve it?

Sigh! Sigh!

I wondered were u had been lately . Hope u get it sorted out bud . I ain't got a clue .

Hey didn't I read before on another post about sound card problem ? I know this much if you don't have your sound card working , game won't play at "all" .

But it's hot as hell here today could u spare just one "freeze" to cool it down some ?

Does it happen right when the sound starts. I mean, does your computer freeze as soon as you start the engine?

Can you give us some more information about the symptoms of the problem? Also, what version of Direct X are you using. You may want to try DX 7a.

Since someone else mentioned soundcards, do you have a soundblaster Live! card? Some people have had problems with them.

Thanks to all for the interst, here the last adjournment.

Ok, I have reformatted my HD and reinstalled the programs.
The problem is always the same.

My monitor freezes after any minute.
Not black or white, simply, still image and sonorous in looping.

It is not a problem of my Hardware, is surely a conflict software, but I am not able to understand thing produce the problem.

Currently the PC is as shaped:

Mother B: Phoenix
Processor : AMD Athlon 500 Mhz
Memory: 128 Mb RAM
HD 8.7 Gb.
Card Video: Matrox Marvel G200 AGP 8Mb. - but usually I use a TNT 2 Ultra 32 Mb.
I have replaced it for verify if the problem derives from the video card, but is not as.
Sound Card is a Legacy FM 801 PCI, but i have also tested a SB AWE 64 -
O.S.: Win 98 S.E.
DirectX 7.0a (4.07.00.0716)

I have set the PC, in manner from don't have resident programs in memory, the only two resident programs to the start, are : Explorer and Systray

The last installed programs, are the critical adjournments published on the Microsoft Windows Update web site.

Any suggestion?

I have the problem, it is Online that Offline.

However, yesterday I have done an attempt, I have reinstalled, CFS, Falcon 4.0 and EAW.

I have also modified the setting out of my ISDN card, I have planned her like PSTN modem to 115200 Bps on analogical line.

I have tested the game Offline and I could have flown for around 20 min. without crash.

Or good, the crashes are of different type, they are less frequent and I don't lose the control of the PC, pressing Alt+ Tab or Alt+ Esc, return to Windows screen and I could stop the program with Ctrl+ Alt+ Del.

The new symptoms are:
Screen all red. trying the B17 (Offline)
Screen blue sky(Like look at aloft), using the Panzer (Offline)

I don't have still had the opportunity to try Online.

If it must work, the question becomes:

are a problem to the communication between my PC and the Server of AH?

Or, installing the other programs, do I have installed any *.dll that doesn't enter conflict with AH and even replaces what do create the problem?

The next steps are:

I cancel the Subdir "settings", reinstall the TNT2 Ultra, I try Online.

Cross the fingers
