Ya I know my namesake...

I got to thinking with the "game name" thread, and dug out a bunch of my old old Megadeth I haven't actually listened to in quite a while.

I forgot how truly great that old stuff was. I haven't listened to the whole "Peace Sells" album start to end in like forever. with Mp3's you always are jumping around in tracks.

Good Mourning / Black Friday really stands out, as does "My Last Words"

also forgot how much I loved "Hook in Mouth"

I WISH I could find my "Killing is my business..." cassette, but alas no-go. might just have to pick up that CD.

even "Youthanasia" has some really well done tracks that never got a second thought from most casual listeners.

anyone got a substantial Megadeth library besides me?

PM me your mailing address I'll copy Youthansia for you.   I've had that CD since 1994.   Reckoning Day is nice, loud.    I've always preferred Megadeth over Metallica.

Look at your local second hand store for cassettes, I know the good will around here has quite a few.  My Megadeth library consists of Countdown to Extinction on CD and random MP3's I've downloaded.

I have everything up to 2002, I have alot of overseas cds of them and two of the original members ( Gar and Chris ) went to my school. When I was a kid I wanted to name my firstborn after Dave.

Think it was Rock n Roll Jeopardy, IIRC. Mustaine was all over it.

Before I broke all my fingers and kinda hampered my playing, the only guitar I would play was a jackson...why cause dave played em. The first video ever played on headbangers balls was wake up dead. And thats what turned me away from dokken and to the darkside lol.

I could never afford a jackson lol

I always loved the V he had early on, the one that was not symetrical, but the upper tail was longer.

the Randy Rhodes model

thats one SWEET freakin guitar...
