.join bug

We where flying in the H2H arena yesterday, and I wanted to join a squad mate of mine to see what he's doing. I typed

.join <nickname>

repeatedly, and I got the message that the request was sent. The other side never got the request though.

In this case what I'd expect is to get a message that sais request not sent or sg.

The request was sent, but your buddy has to use the ".accept <gameid>" command to accept you in H2H.

Shouldn't he get a pop-up window telling him someone wanted to join him?

If he were online in one of the arenas, yes.  It's not currently functioning in H2H, so the .accept command is needed to complete the join.
