Author Topic: HTC - Joystick, Throttle and Rudder (Read 625 times)

In the past you have made suggestions akin to my request related to what computor system is the best. You have not really said which joystick system is optimum.

My very old TM system has an electronic problem that causes spiking and can only be used as a non-programable joystick.

If I ask this under "General Disscussion" I will get 17 different preferences. Some of which I have already tried and failed with.

I would like to know what set-up that the people at HTC use. I mean what is on your desk when you guys fly.

Currently, I am very frustrated and all I do is waste my money on experiementation.

This is my main gig, so I really want it to work well in AH. I would like to purchase a system that works with your game.

Mino there is a capacitor that needs to be clip for certain boards. you can get diagram opf which one to clip from CH if not let me noe tomorrow and Ill look for the email I have from them. or ill open mine up and tell you which one.

Finished reading your post HT has a CH Combat stick? (dont remember it being fighter) PRO Thottle and pedals.

Thanks for your help and patience.

Here is my set-up:

P3-500 128mb Asus P2B-B 100MHz MB
DirectX 7.0a
TnT2 Ultra ver 353 drivers
Aureal Vortex 2500 drivers from CD
TM ACM game card
CH Fighterstick (serial #14800) / Pro Throttle / Pro Peddles (all analog)

BTW I have gotten the Joystick to work. Now it is a question of a brand new Joystick that spikes like crazy.

This spiking I have shown here makes the dang thing unplayable.

Here it is Mino You need to clip one leg of Capacitor (C6) you can find this by holding the bas of the Throttle with the Joystick connector to your left. Right next to the big IC is (left side) is a few rows of components the one you want is in mine it is the bottom yellow with C6 to its right.

it looks likes two resistors side by side then 2 capacitors side by side then under that 2 more side by side clip the bottom left one.

Hope you can make sence of this.

CH stuff is pretty good. The problem that you're having is very unusual. Have you tried all the suggestions so far to no avail?

Mino I also have the P2B board and so does the person that this was sent to. The way I understand it is this is a not needed capacitor that causes spikeing. I had no problems but Wildone did so I cut mine also. Between this and the beta driver (Combat stcik) I have Fairly smooth movement.

Has anyone seen where to buy that PDPI game port controller HT mentioned it online and I would like to look into it?
