Italy - Messina 1943 starting Feb 2nd
« on: January 31, 2007, 09:21:41 PM »
Gentlemen,

Below is the plane set for Messina 1943 starting this Friday the 2nd. Though I will likely setup it up late Thursday night since I have to work late Friday. ;)

Messina 1943

Allied Plane Set
P-38G
P-40E
P-51B
Spit V
Spit VIII
Seafire IIC off CV’s
A-20
B-26
Mosquito MkV1
Hurr IIC

Axis Plane Set
C-202
C-205
Bf-109F4
Bf-109G2
Bf-109G6
Ff-110G2
Fw-190A5
Ju-88

If you look at the map below my plan is to enable flights just in that area. The Italy terrain is quite a bit larger than the area of focus.

Killshooter - on
Friendly collisions - off
Fuel burn – 1.0
Visibility - full
Radar – approximately 30 miles
Object down time – 1 hour
Base capture: 20 troops
Ack - .25

Hope you all enjoy it. :)

this is a fun set up.  the map is just awesome and the distance to the fights are very short.  there is also ample room to enable some Vbases far from the aerial front lines allowing the truck drivers their ability to play TT when ever they want with just a little fore thought.

this map should be the benchmark map for any future AvA maps.  it is simply brilliant.

sounds and looks like fun but Allies have 8 fighters and 2 bombers while Axis has 7 fighters and 1 bomber i think the sides should be evened out a little bit more like both sides have 8 fighters and 2 bombers

I think adding additional planes wouldn't make it as historical.  I'm not fluent in the Italy campaign but, I'd rather fly with what was historically available.  And...as an Axis pilot, I'm quite confident we'll offer the allies the fight of their life.  :D
