Allied Tunisia-1 orders sent.
« on: February 02, 2007, 02:01:39 PM »
Couldn't get the "Allied Tunisia Squads" email utility to transfer the Orders and Map as attachments, so GhostDancer kindly did it in the capacity of Admin CM.

Orders went out 7:57 am Thursday.

This experience has pointed up a problem since it became "policy" to not show the email listings for the COs and XOs of the FSO events when sending.

When ready to publish a battle plan, the CiC for any frame can see the COs NAMES as listed in the current FSO "Side Assignments" but CANNOT find their respective email addys, therefore must rely on the FSO email utility.   And, as you all know by now, is not working properly.

Like flying up a box canyon too narrow to turn around.
An address book won't work cuz we change sides every event or so.

Any solutions ?

Salute,

I would eventually like to FSO entirely contained on the ahevents.org site, meaing CICs will post the orders at the website and the Squad CO's will go to the site to read and download them. But until then we will use the mailer, and try to fix the current problem with attachments.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Off subject but related.

Sometimes CiCs post their orders in the forum after the event-usually to contrast the differece between what was planed and what realy transpired.

Would be nice if they were automaticly available to all after a preset time following the event(provided no disputes needed ruling on). Just a thought-know yall are busy enough as it is.

This is a little off subject but could somebody tell me the map name for this one so I can ensure I have it dled in time?  Those of us on dial up take awhile to dl it.
