Apparently I was not clear enough when I described the analog inputs;Y rotation,X rotation and Z slide/axis.
 On the X-52 Pro throttle grip,(not the joy-stick),around the "E" and "i" bottons there are rings/wheels that provide programable analog input. Just to the side of the "D" button is a slide button also is progammable for analog input.
 The larger ring/wheel around button "D", i've programmed  Y- rotation/axis for aileron trim.(left/right)
 The smaller ring/wheel around button "i" i've programmed  X-rotation/axis for elevator trim.(up/down)
 The slide button i've programmed Z axis for rudder trim.(left/right)
 I shoul probubly note that the Z-rotation/axis is utilized on the joy-stick for rudder control and not trim.
 Now having cleared that up. I still dont under stand why I am not able to tirm my plane for straight and level flight.
 As for the extreme control inputs to make manuvers. Iwas hoping that someone could tell me how to tighten up my stick.
 I hope that I have made my delima a little clearer and would appreciate any input. [weather analog or digital,ha-ha]

yes youve made it alot clearer, sorry for clogging up your old thread with useless suggestions then, should of picked up on it earlier as i too use the x52.

when i plugged it in i flew with it no problems straight off the bat, i havent got round to programming all the throttle axis yet, as flying with auto-trim is enough to think about for me at this point..

anyway onto a response to the questions, now by not being able to trim, do you mean, youve assigned all the axis to the functions, and the mapping screen shows movement in the axis (the numbers change) but in-flight the same axis has no effect on the trimmings of the plane?

as for the extreme controls it does sound like a deadband/dampning issue, just out of interest, when u pull full back, for example, how much movement are you getting? i dont know if this was mentioned in the other thread, but it could be the stall limiter

then again you sound like you know a bit about the game, so i doubt youd have overlooked that point.

if you havent already done so, read through the link provided by fugitive in the other post ( this one )

and if you have done so and are still having problems, report back, it may be worth suggesting some time in the training arena with a trainer, thats how i fine tuned my x52, but having someone instructing you as your looking at it makes it alot simpler, and may help

Yup, that clears some things up.  I had my trims mapped like you do at first, but HATED it.  It seemed to me that trim inputs on the wheels were not very precise.  It seemed like the inputs took too long to take effect, and then when I stopped moving the wheel, the input would get a little stronger after I had stopped.  Drove me nuts.  I also could not get the trims set for level flight with that setup.

I mapped mine onto the HAT switch at the top left corner of the JOYSTICK.  I love this arrangement.  I can easily get the precise trim setting I desire with almost zero effort.  I use forward and back on the HAT switch to trim elevator, and the left and right movement to trim aileron.  I trim rudder with the < and > keys.  I use rudder/brake pedals though, so you may prefer something else.

It's worth noting that trim will need to be changed as flight speed changes, which is why I just use the auto trim for normal flying.

Also, as Iceman noted, stall limiter is best turned off, at least IMO.

I leave the dampening and deadband alone.  On the slider bars however, I like them best if they are ALL slide up as high as they will go, for rudder, elevator, and rudder.  Again, it may be different for you if you are using the twist stick for rudder.
