Maybe, but I bet they know how to spell it.

Scotch is whisky (without an 'e'). Go and check a bottle if you don't believe me.

Depending on mood, I'll generally go with either a Springbank or Talisker. Usually straight, no ice.

There are many fine Bourbons available, and many Scotch whiskies are Bourbon like, but the range of styles of Scotch goes way beyond that of Bourbons.

Its not really a 'one or the other' type thing.

Yeah I know, not apples to apples.  Especially when you start talking about single malt vs. blended, many ranges of flavor.

Dredger, every type of drink gives you a different kind of buzz.  Three things I like about scotch, like the taste, like the buzz and I can drink it all night long and not get a hangover.

Lasersailor, I've drank enough booze, of every kind, in my 40 years to float a Battleship, it's no myth.

My goodness! Spelling! Sir, I am wounded! To the quick, I say.

They spell it right... and drink it right.

You are correct.

The kind of buzz you get differs depening on what you drink.

I've never noticed a 'different' kind of buzz from drinking any form of alcohol, beer, wine, spirits, whatever.  I believe it is all ethanol at its basis, just how it is processed and the flavor it has makes one drink different from the other.

Also, nomatter what it is, if I drink too much of it I get a hangover, no if ands or buts.  Sugary drinks, like schnaps, ugg, hangover even worse.

If you mix soda with your whisky it's going to give you a hangover.  Next time you get a good quality bottle only use water,or drink it strait, and stay with that one drink all night.  I think you will understand then.

Do not be tempted to drink any other kind of booze that night (or day if your like me :D  ).

good whiskey doesn't need water.  besides water will just oxidize the hook that suspends your liver.
