was wondering if you lot would like another squad vs squad DA session, last one was about 2 years ago and we rolled a number of ~12 vs 12  formation merges in different plane match ups. obviously the bravdo and bragging is wonderfull but the overall spirit was a fun fight and it worked.

think the only upset was one time when you guys killed our whole team like usual... except this time WMlute had joined for a round and he went ninja KOTH mode on ur asses, that was fun, for us

anyhow


this offer obviously extends to any squad who can put up a 8 man team or more that can meet on a weekend during GMT evening, EST afternoon.


the dueling ladder which has been recently restarted by the very generous effort and funding of Tw9, is going slowly but surely and is worth a look into if not just to test the waters and really find out what kind of pilot you are.

the ladder is also an age old concept and has been done many times before.

last time we set up this fight with the BKs we tried to suggest a squad dueling ladder but most opinions were that 4 vs 4 is the best for that or even 2 on 2 maximum.

i rekon in a game that delivers the option of 75 vs 75 fights even in the DA the true test of what would most represent real dogfighting is what we do in the MA....at times.....there really should be a squad vs squad ladder.

at some times the squad mentality of the main arenas is a real pain in the ***, hordes and the like, which are just as much caused by large squads as by spineless deffence efforts i might add, causing the 8+ man formation to be a pointless item far from the reason we should play, for fun and mostly equal fights.

this should hopefully give a better reason to fly well with a group of your squaddies against an even number of opponents , maybe teach some of the less inclined to fight a few things. i know that if the 10 people whining about hordes all upped a spit8 or f4uc instead of typing they would find the horde had suddenly become a fight again. then they might realise that it was them that caused the horde giving up the first time they got into a 2 on 1.


the fickle score cards on the home page of this site... i for one would far rather see the months winner for the 1 on 1 ladder and the squad VS squad ladder that the same 20 people over and over, which is never going to change, no one else is trying for it. no offense intended to you fellows who do play for rank, i only speak my own mind and do not suppose to enforce yours.


um....yeah so Blue Knights vs 71 sqn even number fights this weekend on a day to be decided by popular demand. we ready to get our butts kicked again but like last time we will take most of you with us each round

i know of at least 8 BKs that still fly more often than i do, or at least the the very same times i do. but man, they gunna need some of the other to come out of retirement, last time they had dipstick, furball, slapshot, morpheus, and some that didnt shoot me down, they gunna need more than that, or at least equal, this time i would wager

should be a very go laugh no matter what, one that will happen is 75% of the planes are going to go down within 1 min of the 12 vs 12 merge. and i know the BKs will do this type of fight like no other squad ive experinced

dont forget squads with low numbers can make a challenge too, the only precident is the challenger and challenged would always have equal ammount of planes for the bout.

I think the C HAWKS could field a team but I think we mostly fly later US prime time. I know we got a squad vsquad thing going once whil i was away from the game. Good stuff!

goose we accept, tell me the best hours, weekend days and the team number and ill get the same number for this weekend if it goes off!

BKs can still come and more, i wanted to invite them cos we did it before and it was the best fun being shot down i can remember apart from vulching tbms.

get as many teams of 8 together for this week end as possible and have some knock out rounds

if more show up we would increase teams members per team to 12, to stay clear of the warping level of furball.


how does sunday around 6-7pm by your time sound?

perhaps we create two teams, the A team, and Team 1

anyone can join any team, but have to be approved by the leader of each team, and the teams want to have the best pilots they can get...

we do 3 rounds each week on a saturday or sunday evening, best of two is champion for the week. next weak the chapions have to defend thier title.



if the championship becomes popular we create more teams and have a 3 or 4 way battle royale 12 to a team, leaders want to pick the best pilots they can get their filthy hands on


i'd be up for it, it'd be a great fight, 2/3/4 teams of the best stick in AH, all diving into a furball in formation together.

Sorry but Drex can't take place in this adventure. Recently, he became attraction in Madame Tussauds wax museum in Las Vegas. Think if you look under "L" in celebrity lineup, he's listed under "Liberace"...

Our Ancient Ones have mostly all retired again. We've had 5 guys on a few nights lately, but you can't get more than 2 into one arena. It's like herding cats with a vacuum cleaner.

Slapshot and kamiltoe just milkrun in MW with dedalos (they're vulching each other to get good ranks this tour), and although grmrpr and xdak are flying more, they won't talk to us either. It's mostly just me and jaxxo.
