If you live in Texas and have a Texas DL

Found out some interesting information today.

There is a Roadside Assistance phone number located just above the bar code on the back of your licence in the lower left hand corner of it. You can get free roadside assistance from the State of Texas.

I received an email telling me about it and tried to find it on snopes and on the Texas Government web site to no avail but I did speak to a lady here at work that has used it. She said the wait was long but that they came out to her truck and took care of the problem she was having.

Thought you fellow Texicans might want to know. :D

Yep. They've had it for years, but I think the coverage is pretty spotty when you get out of the metro areas.

Another neat thing you learned about a Texas DL today is that there is an anticounterfeiting device on the back. Look at the word "Directive" and see if you can spot it.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Yeah, wanted to ride mine to work yesterday and today. Couldn't get it done and they claim it might rain tonight.
