me thinks you overestimate the influence of score. Many just try to do their best towards whatever their intended play style is. Score is just confirmation/measurement and points out areas to work harder on.

Anti Score potato just as bad as the score potato IMHO

Be in an LVT/Goon/M3, land, up in a plane in attack mode and you get it... As far as I know that is how it works, and I know Murdr's Crew has done it in the past as well as the AK's...

Before all you rank busters chime in, Id like to say that this thread is not at all about rank and score. Many of us like to look at our squad roster/score to see who has been flying and how much within the squad.

You have to be in an attack sortie when you get the "map room destroyed" message from the troops you previously deployed. Scores normally on your individual score, but scores as an attack capture for your squadron.
