Wow.. Smokey Robinson , then Lionel Rotchie , then ??????? followed by Christina Aguilera doing a very soulful rendition of James' Browns "It's a mans mans world"....

So who the heck is ???? and why was he there....

Another reason the music industry leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Dude didn't deserve a place near that stage judged on his performance.

but been surfing back and forth, hoping to catch the police thing, but probably missed it while watching king of the hill and family guy and home makeover with the marine family.

hick chicks with d**** won the grammy? lolololololol pathetic.

other than a few of the country artists, and tony bennet / stevie wonder, I don't think I knew a single artist or song they did in the bits I caught.

oh yeah... HAHAHAHA WAFFLE is watching the grammys and listening to the R&B music. :D you worried who will win "best female rap vocals" or whatever? you're a chick aren't you :p

The Police opened the show with...Roxanne.  I'm a big fan of The Police but even that bored me to tears (haha Driven To Tears!).

So far Mary J. Blige and the Dixie Chicks have 2 awards each.  Not real surprising.

Yep - Waffle - not sure who you are referring to -

Anyways - I watched the opening with the Police and a bit of John Mayer tripping over his oversized tongue (stick your tongue out, hold it, and try to sing) same difference.

The grammy's and it's on air importance have become an imalgum of mediocre artists blended with a splash of talented ones. The more important grammy's that I look for are never aired.

I have no idea who he is honestly. I think I have heard the name before, and have heard of the mary chick, and the beonce chick, but even hearing 5 minutes of their singing I long for cats in heat to invade my apartment.

yeah black sheep. the grammys died when a flute playing homo won the best hard rock grammy

If the Chicks insult the US a few more times, they might get a Nobel prize as well

They've blown chunks since BloodSexSugarMagik, but it's taken folks this long to realize it.

Ahh you saw that on the MSN home page too? :) Think that's where I saw it.

Anyways, I'm all about some Jethro Tull, a few songs of thiers at least, but that was absurd given the other nominations.

The Grammys have been a joke for about 20 years. This year was no exception. The Chixie Dix were given token awards. None of the songs ever broke the Top 20 and they had to cancel several of the dates on the tour because of poor ticket sales. This was an ego stroking ceremony and nothing more.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.
